"When you realize that a beautiful interior has very little to do with objects and a whole lot to do with spirit, general well being and upliftment you find the soul of interior design. If you have respect for your surroundings and everything has it's perfect place you interact with your world differently you carry yourself differently. My father used to say that the state of your surroundings is the state of your mind. Look around your home, let your home be the foundation of your aspiration."

Living room progress

Hi Peeps,  I have made some progress in my living room since I last posted about my newly reupholstered chairs.  I took a few pictures to share with you.  Still on the list is an area rug, accent tables, and a few accessories.  It's slowly coming along!

My new pillows I had made with fabric I ordered ages ago and I love how they turned out.  I am still waiting for another pillow to arrive.

I need to glam up my new bar cart.

This wall will become a gallery wall with a sideboard underneath. (Still searching for that)

I still need to accessorize my fireplace and coffee table

BC Home magazine feature!

I am being featured in the September issue of BC Home magazine and I couldn't be happier!  It's a great issue so be sure to pick it up. The spread turned out beautifully thanks to my wonderful photographer Tracey Ayton who is always a pleasure to work with.

Reveal

So as some of you know I have been working on redecorating my living room and no it's not done yet!  But I thought I would give you a little peek at my fabulous vintage chairs that I had reupholstered.  So to remind you what they looked like before:

Not horrible but still needed some help

And here's what they look like now with a little help from Dwell in the gate pattern

Marbling magic

I am all over anything marbled these days.  I love the movement and colour it brings to a room.  Isn't it pretty?
